Refuting Shaptor Capital’s claims that the Foresters Lodge farmland is “poor-quality”

Shaptor Capital have consistently claimed that Foresters Lodge farmland is “poor-quality”. This is simply untrue. The gallery above contains a selection of photos showing annual successful crop growth of wheat and maize at the proposed Winterbourne Fields site. There have been rotating annual crops of wheat, maize and rape for as long as living memory allows. There are pictures dating back at least 20 years. Shaptor Capital’s repeated assertions that Foresters Lodge farmland is not valuable is hugely misleading, an attempt to downplay the impact of the permanent loss of productive farmland.
